The East Africa Pastoralists Expo is launched today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a theme “Pastoralism: The East African Mosaic”. The event was opened with the opening speech of his excellency, Mr. Tagese Chafo, Speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) followed by key note speech of senior officials from IGAD, the government of Kenya and Djibouti.

One Health for Humans, Environment, Animals and Livelihood (OH4HEAL) is provided space to  introduce the work it does in the pastoral areas of the Horn of Africa. Accordingly, brochures, videos, banners and Hydroponic Fodder live samples prepared for the event are on display in the Miillenium Hall. The expo, which will stay for one week (January 26 – February 1, 2024) is organized by the Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands in partnership with the Inter-Governmental Authority for Development (IGAD).
