Amref health Africa, an implementing partner of OH4HEAL program joined the County Government of Isiolo and the National Environment Management Authority in commemorating this years World Environment Day themed “Beating Plastic Pollution”. The day started off with a clean-up exercise around Isiolo town, followed by tree planting exercise then speeches from various invited guest.
The key message put across during the event was that whenever there is a right, there must be responsibility. As such, the constitution of Kenya guarantees all persons of a right to clean and healthy environment, but the people have a responsibility of ensuring and upholding the environment to such desired levels.
